WE MISS LONDON!

As usual, our daily leader group chose a beautiful song named Photograph, which is written by Ed Sheeran. This song is not writing only about the love between a relationship but also about the love between family, friends, and the people that are important to you. The reason why we chose this song is because the rhythm sounds so sweet and the lyrics are really enchanted that reveal the love is worth waiting. The day we are leaving London is on the Valentine’s Day and we are going back to Vancouver to meet our family, friends and family. Therefore, Photograph totally illustrate the mood we had on that day, feeling exited to get home as we know that our family are waiting for us to come home. Also, we kept most of the photograph we took in London to share it with people, telling them we kept the best memories of London deep in our soul, and how fascinated London is.










Everyone was reluctant to part with London in the last day of our 10 days Field School.  It was a beautiful day” Valentine’ Day” yesterday as well as the final leaving day. Through the 10 days trip, I can see that we earn the unforgettable memories, valuable relationship, or perceiving London and so on.  We checked out at IBIS Hotel at 9:45 and we started playing our daily song” photograph”.  After, we move our suitcase from hotel one by one to the bus heading to the airport. I noticed that some of our student looked back to the hotel over and over. We all miss our friends and parents or love; therefore, we miss this place, London. It made us such a great memory and gave us a totally different sightseeing and the way of their life in London.

At 10:00 am in the morning, our bus arrived. The whole group gets on the bus and headed to Heathrow Airport. It’s time to say goodbye to London, where we spend ten days together with each other, from strangers to friends. Despite the unrounded, we have to leave. One hour and twenty minutes later, our final destination in London – Heathrow Airport was right in front of us. The team went to check-in and took a group photo for the last time.

 

Part of the team went to the VAT refund department and the rest took a free time until 12:15, then the team went to security check and took a free time in the airport for shopping. At 1:30pm everybody caught up the boarding time at Gate B42 and got on the plane. It’s time to say goodbye to London! We made unforgettable memories in London; within an hour of leaving I began to miss!

 











OF COURSE, We miss this moose so much!

Olivia, Amy and Lynn are all Students of Tourism Management for International. They have fulfilled the 2016 London Field School at Capilano University.

     We have come a long way over the past 9 days of this trip and it has been beyond anything I could have expected. By emercing ourselves in the lively Guatemalan culture, we have taken a step out of the classroom into reality. London Field School x2 - 2019

LONDON Field School x2 - Mia, Rose & Oscar 2019  On our last full day in London, We took two trains in the London Underground to get to Camden Markets. By this point in the trip we were tubes experts. Arriving in Camden Town, we walked to the "The Basement Tea House" so everyone knew where to come for our tea reservation a little later in the day - and good thing we did! We walked through narrow corridors amoung shop owners setting up their stalls, down a lift to the basement. In the heart of the markets were shops set up in what used to be horse stables that sold hats, jewellery, vintage clothes, fetish apparel, and of course, tea. From there we were set free to roam the markets at our own accord. With over 1000 unique vendors in the market there was a plethora of food and knick knacks to pursue, smell, and purchase. London Field School 2019!

London Field School 2019: Day 1 – February 15 th Carley, Chloe and Maria Song of the Day: London Bridge, by Fergie Check out our trip video on Youtube! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WD33ii01kXI Our first day in London started at the Westminster Pier, from there we caught the ferry to the Greenwich Village. Thames River is the lifeblood of London, and as a result you will find many of the most popular tourist attractions on the river's banks. We enjoyed the views from the upper deck and when it got too windy, we used the opportunity to go down to the warm hall of the lower deck and get some coffee. The knowledgeable crew was giving a live commentary of all the sights along the way. You get great views of all the landmarks and learn a bit of history on them all. We saw the London Eye, Tower Bridge, Parliament, Military Ships, and so much more . Taken at Westminster Pier before we hopped on the Thames River Cruise!
