Justina Lee: The Disney World Adventure

Walt Disney once said that “The way to get started is to quit talking and begin doing.” That’s one of the things that inspire me to work here at Disney World every day. Being at Walt Disney World and working for such an amazing company has been incredibly rewarding so far. And to be able to enjoy free admission into the parks is definitely one of the perks. My Spanish is improving as well, and there was even a case where I spoke only Spanish to a mother and daughter from Mexico, and they ended up welcoming me to their home in Mexico! It’s moments like these are work that make me feel truly blessed to have such an opportunity.

One of the best things about being here is meeting friends from all around the world, friends that I otherwise would never have met. Although we all have really crazy schedules and often don’t have the same days off, we still try hard to spend those days off having fun and enjoying the great things Orlando has to offer. But working here isn’t without its challenges. I miss my family a lot and it doesn’t take much to feel lonely, but I’ve realized that the truth is, I’m never alone. This experience continues to teach me to be independent and to be able to stand up on my own. The ups and downs can get really overwhelming, but I’m happy to say that I’m learning how to manage the emotions and know that by the end, I’ll be a master at it!
