Louise and Roman: Daily Leader Diary
I am Louise. I am the second-year TMI student. Roman is a
student of Business Bachelor Administration Degree. Today was our first day in
London, and Roman and I were the first daily leaders. I prepared and searched
information for our first day in London.
Since it was our first day, and we
needed to have some rest, it was an easy day as daily leaders. When we arrived
at airport, everyone was excited. We passed the border, got our luggage, and
bought a temporary SIM card. The SIM card was just 20 pounds, and the best
thing was that it provided unlimited 3G/4G.
Our teacher, Robin booked a bus for us from the airport to
our hotel. We arrived our hotel around 3:00 PM, and it was located in
Greenwich. However, when we checked in hotel, there were two room that haven’t
ready yet, and we had to wait about 15 more minutes in order to get the keys
from these rooms. But the hotel cleaned them up as soon as possible. From 3:00
PM to 5:30 PM, students had free time to have some rest and explore Greenwich. At
5:30 PM, we met in the lobby, so we could have a small meeting to get
information about the public transportation pass. Roman and I made sure that everybody was
there, and collected students’ temporary phone numbers.
Then, Robin introduced
Oyster Visitor Card to us. At that time, Christine gave me our mascot which was
a little deer toy. Then, we went for our first dinner in London.
The Yacht Pub is a little restaurant which was established
in 1730, and it has a variety of British typical dishes and drinks. The decoration
style is very unique and classic, especially it’s wallpaper.
The wallpaper made
the wall just like a real book cabinet. All of us ready chose our dinner meals
in class before we left. We had several different meals, such as steak pie,
chicken pie, and fish. Roman and my meal was a steak pie, which is one of the
most classic dishes. Finally, I played the song of the day which was “Romeo and
Juliet”. Because England is the homeland of Shakespeare, and he is one of my
favorite writers. After dinner, we were free to go wherever we wanted. Most of
the students got back to the hotel in order to get more rest for the next day.
Hope tomorrow will be a good day as well.
Roman is studying in Bachelor of Business Administration, and Robin is a second year student in Tourism Management for International Students. They have fulfilled the 2016 London Field School.
