“ Amazing how 4 months can have such an impact on your life.”   This was a Facebook status from one of the Dutch boys, whom was apart of my Bordeaux family, upon his arrival home to the Netherlands. This is just the thing. If you take this (incredible!) opportunity to study abroad, you will be amazed at how much you will experience, learn and feel in such a short period of time. It doesn’t end there, upon returning home you will more than likely continue to realize changes in yourself that you may not have recognized while abroad. I urge everyone even slightly considering a semester abroad to just GO . I understand that there is a lot to consider, particularly finance wise, but the experiences, the memories and the friendships that you will attain are seriously priceless. In addition to the time of your life, this will set you apart from other students. You were willing to take the risk to move to and live in another country, city and culture and this alone shows great q

Mia Cvijetic: Step Out Of Your Comfort Zone

Sending in your application to the Study Abroad Office is the first step, perhaps the easiest.   After receiving your acceptance letter and admitting to your self that you are about to leave the country for a few months and then packing your bags is step 2.   Saying good bye is step 3.   Step 3 is one of the hardest steps to cross.    Now you are sitting in your new home and waiting for classes to start...be proud of yourself, you’ve come a far way.    ECE Bordeaux was really good with putting on events for all the international/Erasmus student to interact with others and the French students.   I strongly suggest that you attend these events and interact with not only the Erasmus students but the French students as well.     You will naturally first start interacting with the Erasmus students because you are sharing this experience together; however, you will also learn a lot more about Bordeaux if you step outside your comfort zone and interact with the ECE stud
