Yes, you could say that I’m living the dream. New Zealand has been amazing so far. The adrenaline of being in a new country is still present everyday. Everywhere I go is a new experience and is as exciting as the last. The Maori culture here is highly celebrated and I have been lucky enough to experience it up close.

 
 
 
 

New Zealand is beautiful and reminds me of home in Canada, although there are many differences (like the palm trees surrounding my backyard that make me feel like I am in a jungle). The house I am living in is in a suburb called Ponsonby. There are always things to do just a few minutes walk away and I am fortune enough to be living with great people, including Ruby who is also on exchange from Capilano. We are always finding things to do, from movies in the park, Auckland’s nightlife, biking, markets, and even adventuring off to new places away from Auckland on the weekends.
 I didn’t know what to expect when coming here, but I know it has by far exceeded all expectations. Travelling to Rotorua one weekend, we decided to go white water rafting. After flipping a boat off a 7-meter waterfall, it was safe to say that the fun never stops. I can’t wait for the next adventure as each one reminds me that being here is one of the best decisions I’ve made.





Kerrigan is a 3rd year Motion Picture Arts Degree student at Capilano University. Kerrigan is studying abroad at Unitec in New Zealand.

LONDON Field School x2 - Mia, Rose & Oscar 2019  On our last full day in London, We took two trains in the London Underground to get to Camden Markets. By this point in the trip we were tubes experts. Arriving in Camden Town, we walked to the "The Basement Tea House" so everyone knew where to come for our tea reservation a little later in the day - and good thing we did! We walked through narrow corridors amoung shop owners setting up their stalls, down a lift to the basement. In the heart of the markets were shops set up in what used to be horse stables that sold hats, jewellery, vintage clothes, fetish apparel, and of course, tea. London Field School 2019: Day 1 – February 15 th Carley, Chloe and Maria Song of the Day: London Bridge, by Fergie Check out our trip video on Youtube! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WD33ii01kXI Our first day in London started at the Westminster Pier, from there we caught the ferry to the Greenwich Village. Thames River is the lifeblood of London, and as a result you will find many of the most popular tourist attractions on the river's banks. We enjoyed the views from the upper deck and when it got too windy, we used the opportunity to go down to the warm hall of the lower deck and get some coffee. The knowledgeable crew was giving a live commentary of all the sights along the way. You get great views of all the landmarks and learn a bit of history on them all. London Field School 2018 - Maryam, Larissa, and Lauren

Maryam, Larissa and Lauren: In This Place Where We All Belong Song of the day: The Hockey Song by Stompin’ Tom Connors https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UxJvrD80nJ4 We started off the day with a walking tour of Shoreditch. To get to Shoreditch, we boarded the Tube around 9:30 AM. This was our first time taking the Tube during the morning rush hour and we ended up having to split up and take two different trains. We regrouped at Liverpool station and after experiencing a little bit of confusion with Google Maps, we made our way to the Old Spitalfields Market. We met our tour guide, Emilie Houldsworth (you can follow her on Instagram) underneath the “Goat Statue” which we later learned symbolizes strength and independence of the British people.
